Where can I meet non-stereotypical gay men?

I have been single for about a year now and finding a down to earth atypical gay man is so difficult. Every single gay man I meet is the stereotypical gay man that we all know. I don’t necessarily mean that he is feminine or has gay mannerisms. I mean that he has the “typical” gay mindset and attitudes. Let me give you some examples…..

1. Attitude (you know what I mean)
2. Need to buy latest fashions
3. Constantly hitting the bars
4. Need to eat at fancy restaurants and go to brunch
5. Obsessed with money
6. Doesn’t like watching sports
7. Need to take gay weekend trips
8. Is obsessed with the gym
9. Looks down on typical people
10. Into wine tasting, art shows, opera, ugh.
11. Wouldn’t be caught dead at Walmart, Payless Shoes, the Dollar Store, KFC or the Olive Garden
12. Need to attend every gay event, parade, restaurant, etc.

I just want to meet a normal gay guy, not William Truman nor Jack McFarland. Where are the down to earth gay guys who watch football, go to the movies, eat at Applebees, shop at Walmart or Sears, goes to bars only occasionally and whose life doesn’t revolve around being a ‘mo. So where can I look for these types of guys? Where do they hang out?

Between LG42LD520 and Sony KDL40EX400, which has brighter colors and more intense brightness and no ghosting.?

I bought an LG42LD520 3 weeks ago and it was my first hdtv. All my life I have owned a CRT Magnavox tv and the picture on it was great. I was so happy with my Magnavox because it has a glossy picture finish and that is why I loved it. Now after buying the LG42LD520, I did upgrade to HD Dish network and I did connect my tv to the dish receiver using the HDMI, but I don’t know for some reason or another, the picture on the LG42LD520 had a matte finish and I hated it. In fact I had the brightness, backlight and color turned up to 100 and I played with all the settings on the tv and I felt that the Vivid was the best one but still I felt the picture had a matte finish and I didn’t like it. When I played the same programs on my dvr receiver on my old crt magnavox tv, the colors were much better and more intense and the picture had a glossy finish to it. Now I know that in high definition and in real life objects might have a matte finish to it and that is why the objects looked that way on my hdtv, but I prefer a more glossy finish. So someone recommended to me that I return this hdtv and buy a plasma. When I went to both walmart and best buy and looked at all their tv’s including the plasmas, I wasn’t too impressed with the plasmas. There was one tv in walmart that they had and it was a Sanyo 720P Plasma that I kind of liked but the salesman told me that this Sanyo will probably won’t last more than a year and that is why I didn’t buy. Then I saw a Sony KDL40EX400 that grabbed my attention a little bit even though I have never been a sony fan. Well the thing is they had this sony and right next to it was the LG42LD450 model which was very close to the LG that I bought 3 weeks ago and I felt that the picture on the Sony was a tad bit better and the matte finish was a little less noticeable on the Sony tv. The only thing that I didn’t like about the Sony Tv was that it had only a 60 HZ refresh rate as compared to 120 HZ on the LG that I bought 3 weeks ago. That kind of scared me but I decided to buy the Sony and compare it to the LG that I bought 3 weeks ago. At home using the HDMI and the Dish receiver because I don’t use Blue ray and I don’t do gaming or any of that stuff, the picture on both the LG and the Sony was very very very close and I was disappointed. I kept trying to compare both tv’s hoping that one would have a more brighter finish and at the end I put the ambiant sensor off on the Sony and that improved the brightness and colors on the TV. I don’t even know why they have the Ambiant sensor on the Tv. All it does is dim the colors. However on the Sony Tv, I had the backlight and the picture turned up to a 100 but the color only 60 on the Sony. I don’t know, I am a color type of person. I love intensity of colors. I care about the HD but I love colors more than anything. So even though I wasn’t sure, I decide to pack up the LG42LD520 and return it. I still have it at the house but my main questions are as follows:

1)Has anyone had experience with LG42LD520 and Sony KDL40EX400? I love watching sports including baseball, football and basketball even though I haven’t seen a lot of ghosting yet with my Sony KDL40EX400, you think I will be seeing more ghosting and dots since the refresh rate on the Sony is only 60 HZ. I read some reviews online where people said that with this particular Sony model, there isn’t much of a difference between their 60 HZ and 120 HZ Tv’s Is that right??? I hate those dots when left behind when one scene changes to another and I hate when someone is speaking on tv and there is waviness in the background. Please let me know this is very important.

2)Did I do the right decision by keeping the Sony instead of the LG knowing that I love colors and brightness more than anything.

3)Is there any difference between the Sony EX400 and the EX700 Model because the EX700 cost like a $1000 which is very expensive. Please let me know the details. We are talking mostly about picture quality not so much about features between the 2 tv’s.

4)Was there any other tv sold at Costco, Walmart, Bestbuy, Sam’s Club that better fits my needs of colors and brightness between $500 to $750 40 inch or larger. Please let me know if there was any?

All because I’m a girl?

My parents do not like the idea of me hanging out with my brother and his friends because im a girl and that they need their boys time. They dont really seem to mind me hanging out with them,besides, 2 of them like me, but i couldnt tell my parents that without them overreacting. She expects me to be “ladylike” and go hang out with some girl-friends. I held nearly a 2 conversation with my mom explaining how i dont get along with girls, and how fake and dramatic they really are, and how different i am from them and how close i am to my brother. All she said was that she doesnt know what to do about that. One thing’s forsure is that im not going to change my self for someone elses satisfacrtions or try to fit in. There are no girls around my neighborhood or in my school that are similar to me, AT ALL. I am way too different; everyone thinks im weird, but i take that as the greatest compliment that i could ever recieve. I dont like to hang out with girls! My mom doesnt think that its “ladylike” for me to be around my brother and his friends. I already feel offended by the fact how i cant hang with boys all because im a girl. everytime my brother goes somewhere with his friends im invited to go but my brother doesnt tell that to our parents so they tell me i cant be with them. My dad goes out to his brother’s house watching sports and all while I’m stuck at home with my mom and 2 baby brothers, and all she wants to do when its just us girls with the little ones is to go shopping at walmart to buy them toys. Why not have a tea party while we’re at it?! I know this isnt really much of a question, but i needed to express this some where besides talking to my parents about it or writing in a diary when i have way to much to write down. Any tips on what i should do? Anything at all?

True,Jen. But i know that they wouldn’t do that. My brother told me that it was extremely great that one of his friends that i like and likes me back . The 1st 2 times i was too wild and annoying. They don’t even talk to my mom much, only when they come by to pick us up and walk somewhere to hang out, just to say hi. My brother is always saying that i should come with them more often when they roll down the hills. Besides, my brothers friends arent the type to be able to talk to my mom about something like that (they’re the shy type). We all get along
That is exactly what i said Arellia. You are totally right. I don’t play tea time, or with barbies, house, or do makeovers in princess dresses anymore. I only had one true best friend and we had EVERYTHING AND I MEAN EVERYTHING IN COMMON…. until she moved to a different country; but this was back in kindergarden. I havent had a real friend since then. Girls at my school are sl*tty like or wanna-be- gangsters. I would hang out with boys if only they werent the same like the girls. No matter how much mom wants me to be lady-like, i will never be because i am myself. I don’t know what else to tell my mom.

Which two Laptop Is better at Walmart?

I have two laptops to choose from. One of them I currently have but will return if other is better.
Please let me know which is better by graphic card, Processor, and both are 15.6 inch screen and price overall.
ps, Can any of these laptops play STARCRAFT 2 or CRICKET SPORT GAMES or any other top games?

ok i was looking for a new tv and i dont know to go with the sanyo 50inch plasma at 720p or the vizio 42inch lcd with 1080p i do alot of gaming and watch alot sports wat do u think would be more bang for my buck ill post a link of both of them
