Jenny asks…
Girls, would you give this guy a chance (this is me)?
6’2”, 162 runner type.
Darker complexion, dark hair, dark eyes.
I go to the U.S. Naval Academy and I’ll be an officer when I graduate (probably surface Navy, sorry won’t be a marine officer)
I’m shy and reserved
I can dance well
Unfortunately, I don’t usually make the first move
Like to read and watch movies, running, and love to watch sports on TV
I’m 19 years old and a virgin (tell me your feelings about this)
I’ve only had one girlfriend
Would you consider me inexperienced and say, “no”! If someone told you these facts, would you give this person at least a shot? Thanks for the feedback.
admin answers:
You sound like a great guy. You have a lot of good qualities. It is actually cool that you are a virgin. It means that you think more seriously about relationships and you take the time to make serious decisions. I don’t consider you to be inexperienced. Just because you haven’t had sex with a woman, that doesn’t mean that you don’t know how to pleasure a woman in other ways or that you don’t know how to have a meaningful relationship. I personally love guys with dark hair and dark eyes. I prefer dark haired guys over blond haired guys. Shy guys also seem to be more alluring. They always seem to make you wonder what they are thinking and feeling.
The only thing that I personally do not like about your stats is your weight. You sound like a bean pole to me. I usually do not find myself as sexually attracted to men that are skinny as I do guys that might be a few pounds overweight. (one guy that I really like at my place of work is 6’2 and 220 lbs). Almost any woman will give you a chance though. You are a great guy. You are good looking and physically fit. You are doing something worthwhile with your life. You are the type of guy that a woman would be proud to bring home and introduce to her parents.

Joseph asks…
Would YOU go out with me?
I’m totally NOT desperate, but I’m just wondering, would you go out with me? About MEEEE:
I have long curly brown hair, blue eyes, and glasses. I’m pretty short, around 5’2… I’m pretty skinny.
I’m a RUNNER, that’s probably the most important thing about me.
I’m a good student, honors algebra, honors english, honors world history, and honors bio.
I spend all my time at school, at practice, or doing homework.
As for weekends, that’s a little different. Saturday mornings are meets, and the rest is free.
I love music, but can’t sing to save my life.
I’m not that good at any sports, but RUNNING.
I love to watch sports, though. Baseball, Football, and College Basketball.
I’m the oldest kid, I have a little brother, so my parents can tend to be overprotective.
ANNNND, I’m a freshman in HS.
I’m not looking for dates or anything, I’m just wondering…
I know I have NOOOOOOO life. But I love everything I do and I would definatly not change for a guy. They would just have to deal with the fact that I’m bussssssssssy. Also, I’m kinda hoping for one of the boys on the XC or Track team to like me, they understand how crazy your life is when you are on XC and Track…….
I really wish girls would stop answering this…
admin answers:
You sound like someone with a decent amount of character, something hard to come by these days. Sure i would, theoretically.
(I’m a sophomore in HS, with AP classes)
but then again…just cause the whole “go out” thing is pointless at that age, or lower, or even a little higher to think of it. I mean, it means nothing. Alas, thoughts about the decrease in values, and the excess of divorce, early pregnancy’s, and what not. I mean, I don’t think dating means anything, or should mean anything till after high school… Though, of course, i am a sophomore, and if i was to meet a girl i like I’m sure this opinion would change.. Never the less…I somewhat stand by that…the media portrays relationships, and sex for that matter as something rather loose, which isn’t really a good way to portray it at this age… Tch, every ones going out with someone…all the drama, all the pure…crap!

Lisa asks…

Just felt like creating this survey because Season 9 will be kicking off on Tuesday. 10! I love Ellen!
Most of my answers are based on this year though…I only watched some episodes prior to last season. Last season I watched everything Idol and even went to the Idols Concert when they came to MN.

Sharon asks…
How do you thank your boyfriend for helping you in a time of need?
Relationship – 8 months (known each other for 2 years)
Situation:
The poor boy literally ran after me (I do Triathlons and didn’t have time for dating, so, he asked if he could run with me even though he wasn’t a runner!) for almost a year before I even allowed him to come an inch into my personal space let alone take me to dinner. I let him in finally to his surprise only to find out a month later that I had Lyme disease which has basically gone down hill more and more each month with treatment.
I live across the country from my family and without asking for anything he has completely stepped into my life and become my saving grace in so many different situations. As independent as I am and as hard as I tried to try and push him away (stubborn me) thinking I could handle it he just waited for me to get over my little fits and came running when I called in need. Every time!
This last week I developed an allergy to the meds they gave me. I was unable to use my hands, touch anything, or walk even. He dropped everything came over and brought me flowers and my favorite things to eat and completely babied me. He drove an hour to my house everyday and made dinner for me and brought me water and helped me take warm oatmeal baths and on and on for a week.
I’m not sure how to go about showing my appreciation. It’s been hard for me to accept that I need his help and he’s become my rock when I needed it the most.
Little about him:
He’s an athletic type of guy. He’s really simple though. Doesn’t have a lot of “passion” about much and just likes to sit back with the guys watch sports and have a beer. If you ask him what he likes to do the most he’ll answer: volleyball, lifting weights, chilling with the guys, and cooking (he’s one of 5 boys.) When I try and think of a gift I’m stumped and he isn’t all that much for the romance.
admin answers:
I hope you truly realize what a one of a kind guy this is…How blessed you are to have such a guy around…that is so wonderful and caring.
Why not make him a dinner of maybe what he likes best, or buy him
some beer w/a big bow/ribbon on it, with a note saying ‘ to add to ur
enjoyment!’ ….or maybe make him a card expressing how gr8 he is
and how you appreciate all the help he offered……
U would be surprised on something so simple as a card or a dinner,
saying and showing much of what you’d like him to know….
Whatever you do, good luck!

James asks…
Knee pain (sometimes) and cracks and crunches. Help.?
I’m 19 diabetic. Recently I started heavy running and stuff. I’ve never been into sports but watching bear grylls and daniel craig spurred me into action LOL.
So I had to stop as my exams were near. When I sit down or kneel my knees hurt and crunch. It is really irritating. If I put my hand over my knee I can feel something cracking sort of.
But something when I twist there is this comparatively big crack and all goes away. My glycaemic levels haven’t been good. There has been a posture problem also. What can I do? I will visit the doc when I’m free but this is just for advice. Please tell me something and I expect relatively good positive answer. Is it only jumper’s knee/runner’s knee or could be ligament tear or fracture of knee cap. Even worse could it be degenerative arthritis?
admin answers:
I doubt this is anything worse than runner’s knee.
I have it myself, and the symptoms you’re describing sound just like it.
You said that you’ve never been into sports and just jumped into this heavily. If you had asked before starting running, I would’ve told you to start light – specifically to avoid this.
Runner’s knee basically means that you’re losing cartilage in your knee. A lot of people will take glucosamine and condroitan with MSM for this. Some say it works, some say it doesn’t do $hit. Keep in mind, you have to take it consistently for up to 6 weeks before it takes effect. And at the same time, you have to take it easy on the running. A lot of people won’t stick to it regularly, so it’s hard to say what the benefits are.
Basically, my advice is to slow it down on the running. Run no more than 10 min a day, 3 days out of the week, only 2 days consecutively. Make sure you warm up properly before you run too. Exercising without warming up (and not just stretching) is almost a sure way to injure yourself.
Below is a link to a manual that will help you get into a routine. It’s long, but is very useful
